Traditional Japanese umbrellas crafted by Hiyoshiya, a historic establishment founded in the Edo period, light up Heian Jingu Shrine’s grounds as part of the light art display. These umbrellas, crafted with over 160 years of tradition, emit a warm, gentle glow, bringing a sense of warmth and tranquility to the night, welcoming visitors.

Fuyubi Lantern (Winter Illumination Lantern)

In Higashi Shin'en, Kyoto lanterns illuminate the grounds with a magical glow. These lanterns are a collaborative creation by Kojima Shoten and Kojima-an, both boasting over 200 years of history dating back to the Edo period.The elegant light of the lanterns, along with the pine trees symbolizing longevity in Higashi Shin'en, warmly envelops visitors.
